Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news at WPDE-TV. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency in DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. It led to the state government imposing more stringent regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's reported on the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
